    • Read five-letter words marked with diacritics (tashkeel).
    • Read double-digit Eastern-Arabic numerals.
    • Read and comprehend an extended list of daily vocabulary words.
    • Know Gregorian/Solar month names in Arabic.
  2. Islamic Studies:
    • Understand the five pillars of Islam.
    • Learn how to perform ablution (wudu').
    • Learn how to perform the five daily prayers.
    • Understand a selected list of daily prayers/supplications.
    • Understand the purpose of creation.
    • Identify milestones in the biography of Prophet Noah, peace be upon him.
    • Identify milestones in the biography of Prophet Abraham, peace be upon him.
    • Recognize milestones in the biography of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him.
    • Understand why Islam is an Abrahamic religion.
  3. Quran:
    • Grade 3: Memorize Part 29 by heart.
    • Grade 4: Memorize Part 28 by heart.

Please note that the above learning outcomes are for students who start at the beginning of the school year in Grade 3 and continue their studies until the end of the school year in Grade 4.

Learning Objectives for Grades 5 & 6

  1. Arabic:
    • Identify different sentence types.
    • Identify main sentence components.
    • Read long words marked with diacritics.
    • Read triple-digit Eastern-Arabic numerals.
    • Read and compehend a list of common Quranic words.
    • Know Islamic/Lunar month names.
  2. Islamic Studies:
    • Experience the correct practicing of the five daily prayers.
    • Experience the correct practicing of fasting.
    • Understand a list of the most common daily prayers/supplications.
    • Identify milestones in the biography of Prophet Moses, peace be upon him.
    • Identify milestones in the biography of Prophet Jesus, peace be upon him.
    • Identify milestones in the biography of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him.
    • Understand why Judaism and Christianity are also Abrahamic religions and that all three religions should worship the same God.
  3. Quran:
    • Grade 5: Memorize Part 27 by heart.
    • Grade 6: Memorize Part 26 by heart.

Please note that the above learning outcomes are for students who start at the beginning of the school year in Grade 5 and continue their studies until the end of the school year in Grade 6.
